Starting Saturday 8 August at 9:00am, you'll have the chance to advance through the rounds, compete for epic prizes, earn serious bragging rights, and secure a place in the National Finals in Auckland.

How the Competition Works

🎯 Round 1

Starts Saturday 8 August at 9:00am

The competition kicks off across participating Timezone & Zone Bowling venues. Put your skills to the test and compete for a place in the next round.

Terms and Condition of ColourGrid Competition

Definitions

Eligible Participant means a guest who meets the eligibility criteria outlined in clauses 2 - 4.

National Final Venue means Zone Bowling Manukau.

Participating Venue means:

North Island: Timezone Bayfair, Timezone Botany Town Centre, Zone Bowling Manukau, Timezone Newmarket, Timezone Palmerston Square, Timezone Rotorua Central, Zone Bowling Henderson, Zone Bowling Wairau.

South Island: Timezone Dunedin, Timezone Riccarton.

Promoter means TEEG NZ Limited of Level 4, 5-7 Kingdon Street, Newmarket, Auckland, 1024.

Register or Registration means the Eligible Participant registering for the Tournament during the Registration Period at a Participating Venue in accordance with clause 3.

Registration Period means the period between 9:00am (NZT) on 16 July 2026 to 8:50am (NZT) on 8 August 2026.

Semi-Final Venue means a Participating Venue as set out below:

North Island: Zone Bowling Manukau
South Island: Timezone Riccarton

Tournament means the Timezone National ColourGrid Tournament governed by these terms and conditions.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Registration constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. This Tournament is open to New Zealand residents only, aged 12 years or older.
  3. Eligible Participants must register to participate in the Tournament by completing the Promoter’s online registration form in which a guest must:
    • select the Participating Venue that the Eligible Participant wishes to compete at; and
    • provide their full name, date of birth, phone number and email address.
  4. All Eligible Participants who have registered for the Tournament must retain a copy of the email confirming their registration to participate in the Tournament.
  5. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify any details regarding the identity of any guest purporting to enter the Tournament. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any guest who is unable to produce satisfactory proof of identity, or who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these terms and conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Tournament. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's right to recover damages or other compensation from such guests is reserved at all times.
  6. The Tournament will be held across three stages:
    1. KNOCKOUT ROUND

      Location: Between 9:00am (NZT) to 12:00pm (NZT) on 8 August 2026 at each Participating Venue
      Details:
      • All Eligible Participants who have successfully Registered at a Participating Venue must be present at that Participating Venue:
        • to receive one:
          • Tizi keychain; and
          • post mix non-alcoholic beverage; and
        • to compete in the Knockout Round.
      • If an Eligible Participant is not present at the time that is 5 minutes before the Knockout Round commences, then that Eligible Participant automatically and immediately forfeits their right to participate in the Knockout Round and the balance of the Tournament.
      • Eligible Participants will be divided into groups at the Promoter’s discretion. Each group will compete in a series of rounds in the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ ColourGrid mode (or such other mode(s) as determined at the Promoter’s discretion). The Eligible Participants who place in the top:
        • three in the final round of the Knockout Round at each North Island Participating Venue;
        • three in the final round of the Knockout Round at Timezone Dunedin; and
        • six in the final round of the Knockout Round at Timezone Riccarton,
        will progress to the Semi Finals (‘Semi-Finalists’).
      • At the conclusion of the Knockout Round, each Semi-Finalist will receive the following prize corresponding to their final placement in the Knockout Round:

        North Island Semi-Finalists:
        1st place: $150 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating Venue
        2nd place: $100 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating Venue
        3rd place: $50 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating

        Venue Timezone Dunedin Semi-Finalists:
        1st place: $150 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating Venue
        2nd place: $100 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating Venue
        3rd place: $50 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating

        Venue Timezone Riccarton Semi-Finalists:
        1st place: $150 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating Venue
        2nd place: $100 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating Venue
        3rd place: $50 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating Venue
        4th place: $50 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating Venue
        5th place: $50 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating Venue
        6th place: $50 pre-loaded Powercard for arcade play at any Participating Venue

    2. SEMI-FINAL ROUND

      Location:
       Between 10:00am (NZT) to 12:00pm (NZT) on 22 August 2026 at a Semi-Final Venue which corresponds to the island (i.e. either North Island or South Island) in which that Eligible Participant successfully Registered
      Details:
      • All Semi-Finalists must be present at the respective Semi-Final Venue to compete in the Semi Final Round.
      • If a Semi-Finalist is not present at the time that is 5 minutes before the Semi-Final Round commences, then that Semi-Finalist automatically and immediately forfeits their right to participate in the Semi-Final Round and the balance of the Tournament.
      • Semi-Finalists will be divided into groups at the Promoter’s discretion. Each group will compete in a series of rounds in the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ ColourGrid mode (or such other mode(s) as determined at the Promoter’s discretion). The Semi-Finalists who place in the top three in the final round of the Semi-Final Round at each Semi-Final Venue will progress to the National Finals (‘National Finalists’).
      • Each National Finalist will receive the following prize corresponding to their final placement in the Semi-Final Round:

        1st Place: $300 Prezzee card
        2nd Place: $200 Prezzee card
        3rd Place: $100 Prezzee card

      • Each National Finalist must provide their email address to the Promoter at the conclusion of the Semi-Final Round in order to receive their corresponding prize. The Promoter will then issue that corresponding prize on the 25 August 2026 to the email address provided by that National Finalist.
      • National Finalists who reside in the South Island (or as otherwise determined at the Promoter’s sole discretion) will receive one return economy airfare for one person departing from the South Island on 5 September 2026 to the North Island (airports as determined by the Promoter) for the purpose of participating in the National Final Round. If a National Finalist wishes to travel on a date which is outside of 5 September 2026, then that National Finalist must pay for any additional costs incurred.

    3. NATIONAL FINAL ROUND

      Location: Between 11:00am (NZT) to 12:00pm (NZT) on 5 September 2026 at the National Final Venue
      Details:
      • All National Finalists must be present at the National Final Venue to compete in the National Final Round.
      • If a National Finalist is not present at the time that is 5 minutes before the National Final Round commences, then that National-Finalist automatically and immediately forfeits their right to participate in the National Final Round and the balance of the Tournament.
      • National Finalists will be divided into groups at the Promoter’s discretion. Each group will compete in a series of rounds in the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ ColourGrid mode (or such other mode(s) as determined at the Promoter’s discretion). At the conclusion of the National Final Round, the National Finalists who place top three in the final round will receive the following prize corresponding to their final placement:

        1st Place: iPhone 17 Pro
        2nd Place: Playstation 5 Digital Edition 825GB
        3rd Place: Nintendo Switch 2

        The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine all prize specifications, including, but not limited to, colour and internal storage capacity.
  7. The Tournament is subject to the following additional conditions:
    • The Promoter, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute any prize with an alternative of an equal or greater value and/or specification;
    • The prizes may be provided by various third parties and may therefore be subject to the respective terms and conditions imposed by each of those third parties. If the Promoter is the provider of a prize, then that prize is subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the Promoter;
    • If, for any reason, an Eligible Participant does not take and/or redeem a prize, then that prize will be automatically and immediately forfeited and that Eligible Participant cannot make a claim against the Promoter as a result of such forfeiture;
    • The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash; and
    • Other than as expressly set out in these terms and conditions, the Promoter is not liable for any other costs or expenses incurred by the Eligible Participant in participating in this Tournament.
  8. Each Eligible Participant must adhere to the directions of staff during the Tournament.
  9. The Promoter reserves the right to modify the format and/or rules of the Tournament at its sole discretion. Eligible Participants will be notified of any such changes.
  10. Each Eligible Participant consents to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Tournament (including any outcome), and promoting any goods or services provided by the Promoter.
  11. If this Tournament is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to forced government closures, technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any person; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel any part of the Tournament, as appropriate.
  12. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) as well as any other implied warranties under consumer protection laws in New Zealand (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”).
  13. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including any liability arising from a breach of the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including in negligence), for any injury, loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of or in connection with this Tournament, including but not limited to any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control) or any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference.
  14. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the Tournament and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to New Zealand regulatory authorities. The Promoter will also use, and handle PI as set out in its privacy policy, which can be viewed at https://www.timezonegames.com/en-nz/privacy/https://www.zonebowling.com/en-nz/privacy/ (“Privacy Policy”). In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, if an Eligible Participant has provided their personal details at the time of Registration, the Promoter may, unless otherwise advised by the Eligible Participant, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the Eligible Participant. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how Eligible Participants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how Eligible Participants may complain about a breach of the Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. The Promoter may disclose PI outside of New Zealand; see the Privacy Policy for more details.
