Celebrate Australia Day at ZONE BOWLING

Temperatures are rising and the sun is shining as Aussies officially welcome 2016 to our cheery shores. But January is more than just the month of the New Year; it's also when our country's national day of celebration is.
January 26 is Australia Day, a momentous occasion that commemorates the history of our nation. To celebrate this public holiday, come on down to ZONE BOWLING and join in on the festivities. From classics such as laser tag and ten pin bowling to exciting music and prizes, ZONE BOWLING is the place to be this Australia Day.
What is Australia Day?
Pull out your sepia filters and throwback hashtags because we're taking a trip through history. January 26 was first recognised as Australia Day way back in 1935, although the significance of this date stretches further, to 1788. This is when Captain Arthur Phillip and the first fleet of convict ships arrived from Britain, landing in Sydney Cove New South Wales.
Despite this early start, the day was only made and celebrated as a public holiday in 1994 - not that long ago! Luckily, if anyone knows how to make up for lost time it's us Australians. Since then, the day has evolved into a time of celebration, with many social gatherings and community events held, often centred around the most Aussie of Aussie traditions: the barbecue.
Today, Australia Day events are everywhere. Of course, never ones to miss out on a good time, ZONE BOWLING has some exceptionally fun things planned.
What's happening at ZONE BOWLING?
Anyone who's familiar with us knows that, despite our silly, light-hearted nature we have a strong sense of community spirit that we take very seriously. This is part of what makes visiting us on Australia Day such a good time for both children and adults.
We'll have the usual school holiday deals going on, so groups will be able to enjoy our entertainment packages at very affordable prices. The Original Deal, for example, is $19.90 and consists of two games of bowling, shoe hire, five arcade tokens and a Hit For Six strip.
Then there's the Extraordinary Deal. For 29.90 you'll get two games of bowling, shoe hire, 10 arcade tokens, a super duper meal, a show bag and a Hit For Six strip, making the day as easy on your wallet as it is fun.
In addition to this, we'll have lane games and prizes (who doesn't love winning stuff?). Nightlife, our music offering, is also putting together a countdown of Australia's 100 most classic rock hits. Need more convincing? There will also be hot dogs.
We'll see you there. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, oi, oi oi!
All ZONE BOWLING centres will be opening from 10am
