Get your friends together and make a bowling league team

If you and your friends enjoy a spot of tenpin bowling on a Friday evening to unwind and relax, why not make it a regular occasion?

Creating your own team and getting involved in a bowling league is the perfect way to get your regular fix of bowling action, and is also a great way to ensure you and your friends get together regularly (we all know how busy life can get!). Plus, it's a great way to test your skills against other teams with a little friendly competition!

If you and your friends are interested in making your own team and joining a bowling league, here are some questions to get you started:

How large is your group?

Generally, bowling league involves teams of one, two, three, four or five players. If you and your friends fit in this category, you'll have the perfect sized group for team bowling. If there are more of you, consider splitting into two even groups - that way, you could get a little in-house competition going!

When can you all get together?

There are no hard and fast rules with how often you have to take part in league bowling, so you should be able to find a league that suits you.

Generally, league bowling teams play on a weekly basis at the same time each week. However, you could also choose to keep it to once a fortnight or every month if that better suits your group. There are both daytime and evening leagues to fit everyone's schedules - and if you really can't find a time that works for everyone, why not consider a "phantom league". This way, games aren't fixed - so you can grab the opportunity whenever your whole group is free.
