Exploring vegetarian options on our new menu

Over recent years, the trend of vegetarianism has risen significantly in Australia. According to statistics from Roy Morgan, the number of people deciding to engage in a meat-free diet has grown from 1.7 million to 2.1 million between 2012 and 2016.
Whether this was an ethical decision, based on health reasons or you're just looking for a diet change, being a vegetarian has never been easier. In fact, the new menu at ZONE BOWLING has plenty of options for vegetarians.
After a long day battling friends in the laser tag arena or trying for that perfect bowling game, be sure to grab a plate and refuel! Here is a selection of our vegetarian menu:
1. To share: Nachos
Food platters always go down a treat with the squad - just make sure you get in before it's all gone! As part of our share menu, you can select the nachos which have no meat, but don't lack flavour or heat.
With the dependable ingredients such as toasted corn chips, black bean salsa, guacamole and tomato salsa, you can't really go wrong with a plate of nachos. Our version is also served with house-made corn and Mexican cheese sauce.
2. The Potato Bar
Yes, you read correctly, we have a Potato Bar at ZONE BOWLING. Of course, you don't even need to be vegetarian to enjoy our offering here, they are all simply delicious.
We have waffle, sweet potato, beer battered and curly fries - each coming with your choice of sauce including tomato, garlic aioli, BBQ chipotle or sweet chilli.
3. Salad: Garden Salad with Crumbled Feta
When people think about bowling and laser tag, they associate it with food such as burgers and hot dogs. While we have those options available, it's important to give our customers as much choice as possible.
For example, our garden Salad with Crumbled Feta. Served with crisp Cos Lettuce, avocado, tomato, crumbled feta cheese, Spanish onion, cucumber, capsicum and lightly tossed in a Ranch dressing, this is a salad that is healthy and ticks all the taste boxes!
4. Turkish Toasties: Three Cheese Toastie
Another great vegetarian option is the Three Cheese Toastie. Filled with (you guessed it) three types of cheese - feta, cheddar and parmesan cheese - this toastie can fill a spot in your tummy no problem. And, course, we only serve it on the best Turkish bread available.
