Top 2 ways to embarrass your kids while bowling
On many occasions, kids becoming embarrassed isn't something you should actively promote. As they develop through childhood, it's important they feel good about themselves in every way.
However, when it comes to fun kids activities such as ten pin bowling, there are simply too many opportunities for embarrassing parental shenanigans that cannot be avoided.
With this in mind, when you take the youngsters to your local ZONE BOWLING Centre, make sure you try to do these things to see how bright-red they shine.
1. Call them by a silly nickname
A surefire way to make teen cheeks go crimson is to utilise the raw power of a childhood nickname. This could be anything from a silly name to an alternate version of your kid's full name that they prefer not to use. If you don't have one, it's never too late to make one up!
- Pretty much anything that rhymes with their name
2. Try to act cool
Even though embarrassing kids is fun, you don't want to give their friends ammunition for ridicule or teasing. This means silly nicknames should probably be used sparingly when in the company of other children. So if you are hosting a kids or teens bowling party, what can you still do?
Act cool. Super cool.
We're not just talking about dressing like the classic rock stars of your time, either (though don't shelf that idea, because it might totally work). What youngspeak do you know? Are you up to date on modern lingo? Doesn't matter if you aren't - try your best anyway and it will still be embarrassing.
For added effect, use lingo that is slightly out of date. We recommend the following:
- YOLO (you only live once)
- Do you even lift? (you don't need to know what it means, just use it)
