Kingpin

This is a 90s gross-out comedy directed by the Farrelly brothers and starring Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid and Bill Murray to name a few. The famous duo are perhaps best known for directing Dumb and Dumber, but this bowling comedy should get more recognition. The plot follows Harrelson as the protagonist Roy Munson, who has been trained to be an expert bowler since childhood. The film follows his hilarious adventures and how his plans go askew when he meets rival Ernie McCracken, played by Murray.

The Big Lebowski

Perhaps the greatest and most famous film about bowling ever made, the prolific film-making Coen brothers strike again in another 90s cult classic featuring Jeff Bridges, Steve Buscemi and Julianne Moore. Expect the usual weird and wonderful cinematic journey from these wacky siblings, all centred around a Los Angeles bowling alley. Not wanting to spoil the surprise, the film features mistaken identity, kidnap and of course bowling, complemented by more than a little humour to make you chuckle.

Expert bowler or new to the lanes, you're sure to enjoy this selection of bowling-centric films. Why not bring the films to life by choosing bowling for your next work party
