How to bowl a strike every time

Admit it - there's hardly a better feeling than bowling a perfect ball and watching every pin collapse at your command.
Apart from significantly boosting your score, getting regular strikes is a great way to impress your friends and everyone else at the alley.
As with any sporting technique, there are a few tips and tricks you can master to improve your chances of bowling a strike.
So how do the bowling league pros do it all the time?
The right ball
First things first, make sure you're using the right equipment.
You might be tempted to go for raw power and opt for the heaviest ball you can haul down the lane, but this doesn't always equate to the best results. You'll most likely end up slamming it awkwardly onto the surface and watching it veer off to the side.
Instead, you'll want a ball that is light and comfortable enough for you to launch with relative ease and sufficient control.
The approach
Hitting a perfect strike begins with the very first step you take after you slip your fingers into the ball.
Try to perfect a smooth four-step approach to the lane, starting with the foot opposite to your ball-holding hand.
Remember to face the lane straight-on, without turning your body to either side.
The arm
It's important to keep your hand and arm nice and relaxed - this will allow for a smooth, natural swing.
Keep your arm straight as you bring it behind you for the backswing, making sure it stays close to your body for the entire throw.
The release
Timing is crucial when you release the ball, and it's recommended to let go just as your swing reaches its lowest point, near your feet. This will allow the ball to roll smoothly onto the lane without bouncing off.
Lastly, remember to follow through with your arm even after you release the ball.
