Footy Finals Fever: Why watching the game at ZONE BOWLING is a win

Woohoo! We're down to the pointy end of the NRL season with the Grand Final on Sunday!
Footy fever is in the air, so let the swell take over as you watch the action live at your nearest ZONE BOWLING centre with family and mates. We will be showing the Grand Final game in most of our centres* so you can literally have a ball, both by watching the finals and having a bowl before or after (plus a game of laser skirmish and some cheeky arcade play!)
We have some great Grand Final day activities in centre including:
- Team coloured face painting
- Team coloured balloons
- Wear your team’s jersey and receive a $5 game pass!
Cheer as loud as the crowd did when Johnathan Thurston delivered his sensational pass last month - which Fox Sports called the pass of the year - as you watch the Grand Final unfold across our screens. We won't judge which team you support or what face paint colours adorn your cheeks - as long as we know you’re having an awesome time!

After all it's not a footy Grand Final without some yummy food to indulge in as you watch, and our new and improved menu takes care of dinner like Sam Thaiday takes care of the ball - guarding it like a warrior who hardly ever drops the ball. Fuel your own protein intake with the crispy tempura chicken breast in the Aloha Burger, or get your daily dose of superfood from avocado in the Ranch Burger. Watch out Rugby League legends, there's some new pros chomping meals at ZONE BOWLING!
If you're watching with mates, invite them to join you for a night of beer, ball and bowling. ZONE BOWLING offers some top beers to clink a bottle with as you celebrate a stellar try or impressive tackle. Want to impress them some more? Here's a bunch of top stats about this season to bust out as you all talk ball:
- Johnathan Thurston has had 232 appearances for the North Queensland Cowboys thus far, giving him the second-most appearances for the club, just behind Matt Bowen.
- The sport itself dates back to 1908, and this is the 18th year of the competition in its current guise, and the Grand Final has been played at ANZ Stadium since 1999.
- As of 2015, the top 25 players in the NRL have a salary cap of AU$5.8 million, according to reports by the Sydney Morning Herald. Back in 2012, this was AU$4.5 million, according to the same source.
Ensure you have a space here on the big Grand Final day on Sunday, October 4 by booking online in advance! We can't wait to see you and cheer alongside you.
